Thanks to the Philadelphia City Paper for calling attention to the essay that I wrote defending Fishtown and Philadelphia. Just hit the "PROSE" button above if you're interested in why I didn't agree with Philadelphia Magazine's assessment of small piece about Philadelphia in The New York Times.

Sweetbriar Rose is Blooming....Cultivar, the new album, is out on iTunes.

We're dropping new show dates into the ground like seeds, and getting requests from DJ's around the country for the album!  Check out the calendar for confirmed dates, and know that we're working on others.

We're particularly excited to be playing this spring with bands like Tin Bird Choir, Roosevelt Dime, A Fistful of Sugar, Breaking Down Doors, and Alex DiMattia, so thanks to the Philadelphia Folk Song Society, Steel City Coffeehouse, and Melodies Cafe in Ardmore for being early bloomers on the concert calendar.  We've also been selected to play at the New Jersey Folk Festival as a winner of this year's singer-songwriter competition!

If you want to help us out, tell the good folks over at WXPN that you'd like to hear some songs off of Cultivar:

Like us on Facebook...please do.  But love us in your dark little hearts.

We give you shows if you show us yours.

See. Hear. Feel.
