Fall Tour and New Album

Hi All...

First, we've got lots of dates on the books this fall and into January, so please come out and say hello. We're particularly excited to have played a benefit for the Philadelphia Folk Song Society at the Jalopy Theater in Brooklyn, which was a wonderful night. Even more exciting, we're gearing up to record a second record next year. Thanks to all of you for your support, and enjoy your fall!

Cheers,

Heather & Sweetbriar Rose

Sweetbriar Rose Selected for Muskifest in Bethlehem, PA

Hi All!  We're excited to report that Sweetbriar Rose will be playing this year's Muskfest in Bethlehem, PA, a two week long extravaganza of regional and national talent.  Catch us on the Main Street Stage August 10th from 3-5 pm and don't miss out on other acts like Sheryl Crow, the Avett Brothers, and...wait for it...ZZ Top!  That's right.  We're playing a festival with ZZ Top.  Woot.

Sweetbriar Rose Doing a Benefit with Tin Bird Choir and Fistful of Sugar!

Don't miss out on the benefit we're doing April 4th at Steel City Coffeehouse, mentioned here at WXPN's The Key.  We're playing with our friends from Tin Bird Choir and A Fistful of Sugar, and soliciting donations for a local charity.  First Friday never felt so good!

City Paper Picks Up My Defense of Philadelphia

Hello All:

As many of you know, I am not only a musician, I'm also a long-time nonprofit manager who cares very much about Philadelphia and its future.   When Philadelphia Magazine wrote a nasty piece that took a swipe not only at a personal friend of mine, but also a fine neighborhood, and, in my opinion, Philadelphia itself, I felt compelled to respond.  City Paper wrote this bit about the essay, which you can find in full in the Prose section of the site.

Sweetbriar Rose is In the Studio

Dear Everyone:

We're delighted to report that we're recording with Andrew Lipke at the Record Lounge.  We're excited to say that we think we'll be able to release our first record together in early 2013.  If it's ready before the holidays, we'll be the first to let you know.

Cheers!
